Lisa Szaro has been working with Lily Pad Gallery hanging shows as In-house Curator and Director of Art Education at Ocean House since January 2019. As an artist herself, it was a natural transition in 2023 to step into Lily Pad Gallery and continue the legacy of building strong artist relationships and gallery show schedules.
Lisa is a multifaceted educator whose passion for the arts has enriched the cultural landscape of Westerly, Rhode Island. Lisa has contributed to various Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce visual art events, such as the 2025 "Nutcracker Trail", "The Whale Trail", "Westerly is Rocking", the "Butterfly Trail", and "Fusion", a cultural event of music, food and body painting. Lisa also enjoys her yearly contribution to the Stonington Lobster Trap Tree buoys. She illustrated of the "Pop up Book of Westerly", celebrating the town's landmarks and history, and designed and painted signage for the movie "Mystic Pizza".
