Jarema Khrushch, who also goes by the pseudonym Novorozhkin, studied at the Lviv Academy of Art in Lviv, Ukraine, and has exhibited internationally for over two decades. He has been included in several group exhibitions at the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, Illinois, where he now lives.
Working primarily in oil and acrylic paint, Khrushch paints landscapes, animals, and portraits with an emphasis on the simple beauty of each subject. While he focuses on the beauty in simple objects, his work is anything but simple; the varying and hypnotic rhythms and motion of his strokes draws you in and carries you effortlessly throughout the piece.
"My creativity in painting is an eternal experiment and the search for perfection is like a chemical reaction of thoughts and feelings ... everything is beautiful from simplicity." - Jarema Khrushch
