An Online Exclusive Exhibition

Greetings,
Lily Pad Gallery West is proud to present the online exclusive exhibition: Animal Kingdom.
There’s so much we can learn from animals- the loyalty of a hound, the resourcefulness of a cardinal, the gentleness of a cow.
This group of animals is a diverse and intriguing one- both stylistically and spiritually. The way in which each artist represents each creature, big or small, feathered or fur-clad, is an homage to the animal’s spirit. In Jeff Faust’s “Moonrise” or Cathy Ferrell’s “Doves,” for instance, the free-spirited, unbounded nature of a bird is embodied by the subjects. Yana Movchan’s and Simon Balyon’s storybook-like portrayals of a flock of sheep in “Sheep in the Meadow” and “Going Home” call to mind the sweet, docile nature of those beloved farmyard animals. Hagop Keledjian’s “The Hunt” and Christopher Pierce’s “Theme and Variations” honor a dog’s incredible, steadfast loyalty to its humans.
While we may sometimes take for granted these wonderful traits that make our world’s animals so exceptionally unique, these artists’ portrayals area subtle reminder of the incredible diversity they bring to our world, for which we should be thankful.
Animal Kingdom will be featured on the Lily Pad Gallery West Artsy page from November 14 to 27.
Lily Pad Gallery West is located at 215 North Broadway in the Historic Third Ward of Milwaukee.
We look forward to seeing you.
