An Online Exclusive Exhibition
Greetings,
Lily Pad Gallery West is proud to present the online exclusive exhibition: Hues of Autumn.
Hues of Autumn features 21 of Lily Pad Gallery West’s artists whose paintings capture the beauty of the turning seasons, using warm palettes in recognition of the setting sun of summer.
From the sound of leaves being crushed beneath your feet, to the feeling of pulling on a thick knitted sweater, to the smell of cinnamon and apple cider, the signs of autumn are unmistakable. However, no aspect of this season is as recognizable as the transition of the landscape from a sea of green to a fiery field of reds, yellows, brows and oranges.
This iconic change in color palette signals the setting sun of summer, and brings a feeling of warmth to the world as temperatures drop. As the trees and plants shed their leaves, the end of the year is made all the more apparent, and attention shifts inward to family, friends, and self-reflection.
The paintings included in Hues of Autumn celebrate this encore of color, and the activities that come with it. From the celebration of a fall harvest in Gene Costanza’s “October Leftovers,” to the action-packed hunting scene in Hagop Keledjian’s “The Hunt,” it is clear that autumn offers a wealth of inspiration to artists of all styles.
Hues of Autumn will be featured on the Lily Pad Gallery West Artsy page from October 3 to October 16.
Lily Pad Gallery West is located at 215 North Broadway in the Historic Third Ward of Milwaukee.
We look forward to seeing you.
