Jeff Faust: Journey of the Juxtaposed

California native Jeff Faust views his work as an integration of ideas into visual poetry. The journey to find the image begins when he approaches the canvas, and the fleshing-out process can last for weeks. Once the piece feels complete, Faust says he gets deep satisfaction from “absorbing it, thinking about it, finding its meaning- and hoping it does the same for others.” Painting common objects, Faust creates opportunities for the viewer to see their vitality and presence, highlighting movement and the fleeting nature and impermanence of life around us.
Jeff Faust: Journey of the Juxtaposed is a temporary pop-up exhibition held by Lily Pad Gallery West in conjunction with Milwaukee’s October “Gallery Night MKE.” The artist will be present in the gallery for the weekend and will be available for conversation and discussion.

An opening reception will be held Thursday, October 17th from 6:00-9:00pm in conjunction with Lily Pad Gallery West’s Three Year Anniversary.
